Laudato Si’ by the Sea: A Two-Night Earth Day Retreat

March 30, 2021

Heart to Heart Executive Director Steve Tumolo and the Global Catholic Climate Movement co-founder Amy Woolam Echeverria have been hard at work!

The two organizations celebrated Earth Day by leading a retreat for people interested in hearing the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor as articulated in Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’: On Care for our Common Home.

This in-person retreat was held at the Marianist Family Retreat Center in Cape May Point, New Jersey, from Tuesday April 20 to Thursday April 22.

Participants were looking to strengthen their commitment to protecting the natural world. Using elements from Pope Francis’ encylical, Laudato Si: On Care for our Common Home, retreatants reflected on and discussed our responsibility to care for God’s creation.

Heart to Heart would like to extend out thanks to the Cape May Marianists with their help hosting this event.
